Offensive Security
Web Application Penetration Testing
Manual, authenticated testing of your web application against the way real attackers approach it.
Overview
A web application test that only runs a scanner finds the issues a scanner can find. The problems that lead to real incidents, including broken access control between tenants, business logic that can be driven out of sequence, chained flaws that turn a low-severity issue into account takeover, require someone to understand the application and test it by hand.
We test with each role in scope, compare what each role can reach against what it should reach, and verify every finding by exploiting it. Coverage follows the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide, and findings are reported with reproduction steps, evidence and a fix that fits your stack.
Methodology
How the engagement runs from start to finish.
- Scoping and written authorisation
- Application walkthrough and role mapping
- Attack surface enumeration across routes and parameters
- Automated scanning to establish a baseline
- Manual testing aligned to the OWASP WSTG
- Exploitation to confirm impact and remove false positives
- CVSS scoring with contextual impact
- Reporting, debrief and retest of fixed issues
